When you invent something new whatever you do, do not show your invention to anyone and do not discus your invention with anyone.

Generally speaking, most people have the tendency to discourage or render an opinion that is contrary to your invention.

Remember you are the Inventor and you must believe in yourself. If you think your invention is a needed item, go for it and see if you can get it patented.
